Another conviction in the US Elections…

What Happened?
Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, was convicted yesterday for making false statements when buying a firearm and having a firearm while being a drug user or a drug addict. The conviction comes three weeks after the conviction of Trump in New York for falsifying statements.
Why it Matters
The conviction of Hunter Biden can have an effect on the US election in November, as some voters might find that the son of the US president cannot be a convicted felon.
The conviction of Hunter Biden presents a complex political situation for both Democrats and Republicans. Republicans, who generally support gun rights, may find it challenging to criticize Hunter Biden's firearm possession without appearing to contradict their own stance on the issue. Democrats, on the other hand, may emphasize that the legal process was followed and that justice was served, regardless of the defendant's family connections.
What’s Next
Hunter Biden faces up to 25 years in prison and will hear his sentencing in the upcoming month. Joe Biden already stated that he will accept the outcome of the case and the judicial process. Of course Hunter Biden can still appeal the case as well.
However, even after that, it ain’t over yet for Hunter. In September, he stands trial in Los Angeles for failing to pay taxes on more than $1.4 million in income over several years.
It seems like all these court cases will greatly influence the outcomes of the elections in November. To be continued…
