Here is to New Beginnings!

It was almost a year ago when I started my first start-up during my MBA. This was something totally out of my comfort zone, but luckily I had side-wheels, as it was a school project. Nevertheless, it gave me a new feeling, a new hunger and a new goal. The entrepreneurial freedom was something that opened my eyes and we ended up winning a prize with our pitch as well (the blond guy on the right is me!).

Three months later, the start-up was dead… The group had other goals and starting this business was not something we aligned on. We had a great time tho and made friendships for life!

Fast-forward a year, life looks much different, much different. I started a job, quite that job, started another job, my relationship ended and my father got sick and here we are… The past months felt like the ground was actually falling underneath my feet, but we are so back!

I feel empowered and passionate about this next phase in my life: meeting new people, learning a lot about the new job, but most of all… starting my own business. I got inspired by the book of Noah Kagan, Million Dollar Weekend. It helped me get out of my comfort zone and into this new space. So let’s do it

And why are you writing this blog, Nils?

Very good question! Well, I have always wanted to start a blog. I am a passionate reader of almost everything business related and wanted to share my thoughts on these topics earlier in a blog, but basically, I never started. Now, with this new phase, I felt like I should just go for it. And here we are!

Okay, okay, and what are you going to write about?

Well, the idea is that I will write about starting my own business and all the exciting (and less exciting) stuff I will run into. But be aware, I am an opinionated and broadly interested guy, so chances are I will also write about:

  • AI

  • Books

  • Business News

  • Health

  • And dare I say it… Politics

I aim to post something every week or so, but it might be more, it might be less. The blog is for me, to keep myself accountable, but also for everyone who likes to join me on this journey or just want to see if I can make something out of this. Please tag along for the ride and feel free to share your thoughts and feelings about everything.
